// The pure cotton Liberty Tana Lawn - Al Teramoto in a black colourway. Elements with mysterious storytelling qualities are reflected in this cosmic design drawn from the work of artist Ai Teramoto. Zodiac symbols as well as objects from everyday life are drawn in a manga style and surrounded by imaginary constellations, in a multidirectional print – large areas of space allow for the use of bold, rich colours. A super fine, tightly woven plain weave cotton with no stretch and a matt, semi-translucent finish.

From Japan With Love was created by Liberty Fabrics in collaboration with eight contemporary Japanese artists. The collection’s contributors worked across a wide range of graphic, textile and fine art mediums, creating visually stunning artworks that were transformed into fabric layouts by our in-house London design team – each finished print reflects a different influential facet of Japanese art and design. Ai Teramoto likes to explore human nature within her work, which is suffused in every design with a sharp, heartfelt expressiveness that draws from manga and graphic novel styles.

Tana Lawn™ cotton is a fabric built by obsession, perfected into a modern masterpiece of production through a bespoke process that has evolved over a century. Printed in the Liberty Printing Mill, located between Milan and Lake Como in northern Italy, Tana realises unmatchable fluidity with a silk-like touch, unique print quality and striking colour vibrancy. Machine washable and durable enough for daily wear, it can be used to create everything from simple separates to spectacular statement pieces. Perfect for all manner of projects including childrenswear, shirts, summer dresses, pajamas, and to add some flair as a trim or lining option!
