If you are buying our fabric online in Ukraine, please note that all purchases over the current tax threshold will be subject to local duties and taxes, and will be the sole responsibility of the purchaser. DHL will automatically pay money owed on a shipment on behalf of the receiver to Customs and they therefore charge a fee for the money they are lending and also the cost to collect the charge from the customer, this is called an Advance Payment Surcharge. DHL will contact you directly to collect any fees owing, you can read more about the fees here.
If your order is near or over the threshold for your country please email contact@thefabricstoreonline.com before you purchase and we will do our best to provide further information. Please note we cannot assist you after an order has already been placed.
Customs will generally base the value of your order on the price of the goods, plus the cost of the shipping. In some cases even if you have not paid for shipping (i.e free shipping offer used) customs may still include a charge for shipping in the value of your order. We do our best to provide correct information but unfortunately this is outside of our control and is dependent on your countries current customs policies.

The full shipping cost to send a parcel may also be included as part of the total value of the parcel, even if you have not paid for the shipping yourself (free shipping offer). Additionally as we subsidise the shipping costs the true cost of shipping is the value customs use, so if you require information on the full shipping cost of an order you would like to place please be in touch with us by email before you purchase and we will do our best to provide an accurate quote.

We use DHL for all international deliveries (excluding sample purchases). If you are not at home during delivery, drivers have an ‘authority to leave’ if they can find a secure place (out of street view) in which to leave your parcel. If no secure place is found they will leave a card to call. Please also note – shipping time frame may vary depending on your local customs agency. Unfortunately this is something us at The Fabric Store or DHL has no control over.
Orders placed during a sale or promotional period may take up to 10 working days to be processed. If your order is time sensitive please email contact@thefabricstoreonline.com and we will do our best to rush it through.
