Pattern Review
Papercut Patterns — Sequence Blouse
The Sequence pattern can be made up as top or dress, and can be styled with the wrap at the front and the back! The 3/4 flutter sleeve gives the style a playful yet elegant silhouette, which we love. We made up a size 2 for Fiona (which is similar to an NZ women's size 6) and this used the recommended 1.6m. Our Scribble Blooms Viscose Georgette - Dijon was perfect for this style, and overall the pattern was a quick and simple sew! We also used a matching Gütermann Sew-All Thread, 70cm of Fusible Interfacing - Stretch Weft / White, one Trocas Shell Button 12.7mm - Ivory and 4cm of Braided Elastic 3mm - White. Sequence is labelled as intermediate sewing level, which we'd agree with. There are a few cornered facings, a mini elastic loop, sleeve ease and a couple of intersections that take a little time and skill. We thought the fit on Fiona turned out wonderfully, and this simple pattern pairs perfectly with a pair of blue jeans!
The Sequence Blouse pattern can be purchased from our Online Store here, or in any of our retail stores.
