We recently spotted one of these fantastic little triangular folded TYTKA Studios tote bags over on Instagram, made up very stylishly by Trish to match her Make by TFS Poppy Coat. How incredible is that combo? Naturally, we jumped at the chance to review this handy PDF pattern using our newly arrived Upcycled Cotton Denim - Pumice Speckle.
This is a beginner sewing pattern for a small tote-style bag of approximately 26 x 45cm, that uses about 80cm of fabric. It couldn't be easier to sew a bag! The instruction manual was clear and concise broken into 25 visual steps and easy to read text and photographs. We would absolutely agree with the ability level as being suitable for a beginner, and this was a simple yet clever pattern and oh-sew very satisfying to make in this non-stretch, structured denim. TYTKA Studio even have a video tutorial on YouTube that you can follow!

How satisfying is that topstitching?! Don't forget to use a heavy duty or denim needle for your machine if sewing a heavyweight fabric like denim.
