Pattern Review

Pomona Pants — Anna Allen

The Pomona Pants are a super simple elastic waist, high rise and loose fitting pant pattern, with optional patch pockets. The simplicity of this pattern lies in its fold-over waistband and lack of side seams. Bianca chose to make up a size 10 in View A, the wide leg, ankle length sailor-style pant with patch pockets on the back. The entire project took under a day to make and used 3m of our Reversible Double Gauze Cotton Check in Pea Mix, plus 1m of 50mm white elastic. Bianca made these Pomona's fully reversible with the addition of flat-felled seams, a much easier process due to the lack of side seams in the pattern. She also made the hem a little deeper and describes the fit as super comfortable, definitely a pattern she'll make again! The Pomona Pant pattern can be downloaded from Anna Allen's website here.

We love the versatility of these reversible Pomona's, and a check or striped fabric is always a classic pant choice! Share your makes and customisations with us over on Instagram using #WeAreTheFabricStore
